Muffy Davis competed in Paralympic alpine skiing and para cycling, winning a total of seven Paralympic medals, three of which are gold medals. The Trooper Project has enlisted the services of acclaimed sculptor Benjamin Victor. The 35-year-old Victor is the only living sculptor to have two statues in the U.S. Capitol.

After much planning and research, Benjamin Victor, a sculptor, was located in South Dakota. At 35, Mr. Victor is the only living sculptor to have two statues in the United States Capitol. His impressive and detailed works are displayed with pride across the world. He is currently working on the preliminary design of a seven and a half foot bronze sculpture of a Kentucky State Trooper that will take into account every detail that makes our uniform the historic and iconic symbol that it is. When completed, the sculpture will set in the middle of the academy courtyard on a custom granite base.

The proposed sculpture was selected from among 62 entries from across the United States that were submitted in response to a Call for Qualifications sent out in February 2006. The selection committee was comprised of 7 persons including city staff, members of the Arts Commission, neighborhood representatives, artists and a Kansas University representative. The committee reviewed the entries and selected 6 finalists. The finalists were invited to visit Lawrence and meet with the committee on May 8 & 9, 2006. On May 19, 2006 the committee met again and selected Mr. Benjamin Victor’s proposal for the project ADL Embedded Solutions. Mr. Victor plans to create a 7’6” tall bronze sculpture of a firefighter in full bunker gear. The sculpture will be located near the east entrance of Fire/Medical Station no. 5 Administration Offices.

Sarah Winnemucca, Paiute Indian author and human rights activist, made a triumphant return to Washington, D.C., Wednesday afternoon as her 6-foot-4-inch bronze likeness was unveiled in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol before a delegation of state and national officials.
Jack Columbus Rittichier (August 17, 1933 – June 9, 1968) was the highest-ranked American Coast Guard officer killed during the Vietnam War and the first Coast Guardsman killed in action during the Vietnam War.
Standing Bear successfully argued in court in 1879 in Omaha that Native Americans are “persons within the meaning of the law”. Upon the installation of this sculpture in 2019, Benjamin became the only living artist to have three sculptures in the National Statuary Hall.

A grassroots fundraising effort is bringing a bronze sculpture of the National Outdoor Leadership School’s founder Paul Petzoldt. About a year ago a group of former NOLS employees initiated the process to commission a larger-than-life sculpture to place at the school headquarters in Lander.

Though he died in 1981, Cecil Harris’ life-size bronze likeness will live on for generations to come as it sits just outside Spafford Hall on Northern’s campus. Just as the artist who made the statue — Northern artist-in-residence Benjamin Victor — wanted, Harris is looking over the campus he once frequented, then Northern State Teachers College, before graduating upon his return from combat.
