This sculpture captures a young mother in the heartbreaking moment she learns of her husband’s death in WWII. Clutching a telegram in one hand and her toddler in the other, her tear-streaked face reveals the weight of grief, while her child gazes up, too young to understand. It is a tribute to the quiet strength and sacrifice of those left behind.
