California Trail Interpretive Center hosts public unveiling of new sculpture, “Our Heritage is Our future.”

“This sculpture of a generic great basin woman represents the native people of this area. It will be the first thing people see as they enter the Trail Center representing the native people were here first,” said Trail Center Manager Gary Koy. “On their way out, they will see the back side of the sculpture where there will be a cradleboard representing future generations.”
